Streatham Redskins are delighted to announce a new signing to the club as Slovakian winger Michal Oravec joins us for the rest of the 2012/13 season.
The 32 year old fills the vacant import slot following the departure of Tomas Valko in October.
After making his senior debut for HKM Zvolen in his native Slovakia back in 1998, Oravec continued to play senior hockey in his native Slovakia before moving to Serbia where he iced for Vojvodina Novi Sad.
His first experience of British hockey came in 2005/06 in the English Premier League when he appeared 17 times for West Midlands club Solihull Barons alongside current Redskins player Phil Manny before returning to play in his homeland for HC Detva.
Oravec joins Scottish defenceman Shaun Smith as one of the new boys in the Redskins line up ahead of transfer deadline day at the end of this month.
