Manny makes move

Streatham are delighted to announce another new face to the line-up as experienced utility player Phil Manny joins the club from Cardiff.

The feisty 28 year old has been a regular within the highly rated hockey set up in the Welsh capital since bursting onto the scene in the British National League with Cardiff Devils.

Spells at Solihull, Wightlink, Romford and Invicta along with a few guest appearances for Edinburgh mixed with eight seasons with his hometown club have made up a hockey career of over 300 senior appearances across numerous leagues.

A passionate hockey player who will stand up for his team mates when required, Manny made just twenty appearances for Cardiff ENL Devils last season due to injury.

Now ready for a full season in London with the new look Streatham side already boosted by a number of new faces, Manny is scheduled to arrive in the capital next month to join his new team mates.

“Phil is an in your face type player” explained Redskins Coach Barry Spours.

“He is another guy who adds character and grit to our team this season and we are confident he will wear the Streatham jersey with the same pride and passion that he wore the Cardiff one with”

“Phil can play up front or on defense so he gives us more options and versatility which is crucial in a forty plus game schedule”
