Streatham Redskins are pleased to announce that speedy winger Liam Rasmussen has agreed to join the team for the 2012/13 season.
The 24 year old has been at Streatham for his entire career and played as a junior with the club. Rasmussen made his debut for the Redskins in 2006 whilst still playing for the under 19’s.
Officially the fastest player on the Redskins roster in 2010/11, Rasmussen has added other skills to his game and was used on special teams and various lines throughout last season.
“Liam is useful in a variety of situations” explained Redskins Coach Barry Spours, who also confirmed that another new face to the squad will be announced on Monday.
“He pops up with important goals and his speed gives him a great advantage on breakaways and when penalty killing”
“I said when we signed Caz (Britton) earlier in the week that it is important to have a core group of local players and Liam is definitely part of that”
Rasmussen will be skating for the seventh consecutive season with the Redskins in 2012/13 and you can have your name printed on the back of his away jersey for only 50 pounds.
